About Outdoor Medicine

Outdoor Medicine is a non-profit organization that aims to promote (international) cooperation between (para)medics with interest in the area of expedition medicine, wilderness medicine, or practising medicine in extreme environments. Additionally, we aim to increase, share and spread the knowledge in this area of practice and to stimulate 'best medical practices'. We organize several courses including the Advanced Wilderness Life Support course, the Mountain Medicine course, the Wilderness First Aid course and the "Medicine in Extremes" conference in Amsterdam. Furthermore, we provide advice & support to teams or individuals going on expeditions, adventurous travels, performing extreme sports or volunteers on medical missions. Anywhere in this world; and even beyond! We provide our services in the preparation phase, on-site or by telemedicine.
