With history dating to 1888, OCG manufactures large, high-precision gears that are designed to meet a wide range of requirements for the most challenging applications in the oil and gas, minerals and mining, rail, renewable energy, power generation and infrastructure industries. Our customers require high-precision gears and gearboxes that are durable and reliable enough to withstand harsh operating environments. OCG designs and manufactures custom gears in a wide variety of profiles, including herringbone, bevel, helical, spur and double enveloping worm gears, as well as gearboxes. OCG employs more than 200 people at three manufacturing facilities in the Chicago area. See www.oc-gear.com. On December 7th, 2012 H-D Advanced Manufacturing Company (HDAM) acquired OCG. Based in the Pittsburgh, PA area, H-D Advanced Manufacturing Company (HDAM) is a newly formed enterprise led by two highly successful manufacturing executives. HDAM seeks to acquire operating companies in the severe heavy-duty, high precision-engineered industrial manufacturing sector targeting “mission critical” products and applications. HDAM is led by Dale Mikus, Senior VP – CFO, former VP - CFO of Latrobe Specialty Metals, Copperweld Corporation and Dresser. HDAM strives to enable its customers to be leaders in their respective industries by providing world class products, excellent customer service, highly responsive lead times and efficient manufacturing operations. The goal is to build HDAM into a $1.0 Billion + family of engineered products companies over the next 5 years.
