Did you know that in Texas over 800,000 people have difficulty reading or are unable to read newspaper print? Owl Radio is a nonprofit organization that brings the local San Antonio news to individuals who cannot read. By using the radio those who are visually impaired can enjoy the daily news as well as the other programs we offer. Our organization provides a means for helping people with visual impairment to be active participants in society. It is an effective way to inform, educate and improve the quality of life and help blind and other print impaired people become fully participating citizens of their community. The San Antonio Low Vision Club is another aspect of our nonprofit providing participants with a stable community and support group.
