About Own My Life
Offering training, resources and group work to enable women to take back ownership of their lives, after they have been subjected to abuse. TRAINING: We offer live 5-day online training events to those working with women within charities, social work, healthcare, education, social work, counselling/therapy, corporates and others. These intensive CPD-accredited training events enable participants to gain robust literacy about abuse, trauma and wider messages about misogyny. After training, participants can facilitate the amazing Own My Life course with women and/or use our comprehensive, mulitmedia Own My Life resources as a toolkit throughout their work. GROUP WORK: The Own My Life course is our group work programme. A train-the-trainer model, after attending our 5-day live online training, practitioners can deliver 12-week Own My Life Courses with women, with comprehensive support materials for delivering the course both online and in-person. Each woman attending the course recieves a 200-page full colour learning journal, and the course has over 25 whiteboard animations that effectively explain abuse, trauma and wider harmful messages in an easy-to-understand way. RESOURCES: Own My Life Discovery is our online e-Learning platform with full of interactive videos and support materials to build literacy about abuse, trauma and wider harmful messages. Utilising the Own My Life whiteboard animations, Discovery can be used both for professional development and in your educational and/or therapeutic work with clients.
