About Ox Films
Ox Films was established in 2006 by actor Richard Ryan with the purpose of making movies and creating jobs for people in the film industry. He named the company after his belief in being as strong as an ox, “not only physically, but mentally as well, being able to overcome every challenge and keep going no matter the amount of extra weight thrown on.” Growing up, Richard had many creative interests, including sports, writing, art, and acting. Soon after high school, he began acting professionally and making movies as a form of expression which combined all his loves. His first movie was a short film called Glass, which he wrote, produced, directed, edited, and starred in. He immediately got addicted to the process, so he made two other short films and eventually his first feature film, Fortune 500 Man. Since then, he has made seventeen short films and three feature films. His third feature, Art of Deception (2019), is now playing on Amazon Prime Video and in twenty countries worldwide.
