About Oxford Brookes Law Society
The Oxford Brookes Law Society is one of the largest and most successful societies at Oxford Brookes University. We seek to offer our members a wide range of co-curricular activities including client interviewing, application discussion groups, and social and career events. We maintain a close relationship with both the School of Law and the wider legal profession, allowing students an insight into the academic and practical aspects of a career in law. Our members have taken part in competitions in areas such as client interviewing. The Law Society also assists students in pro bono work, which raises their awareness of local and national issues of legal access. In addition, the Law Society has also organised trips to London to visit the Supreme Court and Inns of Court. We also, of course, organise social events for our members. We have previously held clubs nights in Oxford City Centre, quizzes, and cocktail evenings.
