About PA Youth Vote
PA Youth Vote is a nonpartisan collaboration of youth, educators, and organizations working to elevate youth voices, improve public school civics education, and empower youth as civic actors. Together, we are building youth political power and changing the policy and culture around youth voting statewide. In 2021, civic engagement has never been more important. PA Youth Vote was founded to empower young people in Pennsylvania as voters and civic actors. Our youth-led team is driven by passionate young people from across the state of Pennsylvania. From high school leaders to collegiate scholars, we have come together to share our insight from our communities to make statewide changes. PA Youth Vote is more than just a group, but rather a family of dedicated and change-driven members! Youth empowerment is central to our work. We empower youth to raise their voices and partake in their democracy, from participating in elections to reaching out to their political leaders about values important to them. This includes equipping them with knowledge about elections, political candidates and leaders, and social affairs so we can be active in current events We strive to promote and uphold diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of our team: age, race, gender, and more. Anti-racism and dismantling white supremacy are central to the work we do.
