About Pacific & Asian Affairs Council

The Pacific & Asian Affairs Council (PAAC) is an independent, Hawaiʻi-based, 501(c)3 nonprofit with a mission to promote understanding and empower engagement on global and international issues with special attention to Hawaiʻi’s role in the Asia-Pacific region. PAAC provides global education opportunities open to all Hawaiʻi high school students, offering a broad range of opportunities to learn about the world and make connections to our home. High School Global Education Program activities include: PAAC Clubs, Afterschool Global Studies Classes, Global Vision Summits, Study Tours Abroad (including scholarships), Academic WorldQuest Competition, and more. PAAC values Hawaiʻi teachers and supports K-12 Teacher Workshops led by the East-West Center Arts Program. Hands on activities and curriculum ideas focused on the arts and culture of the Asia-Pacific are presented for teachers to take into their classroom.
