About Pacific Beach Coalition
The Pacific Beach Coalition (PBC) is an award-winning 501(c)(3) ocean conservation nonprofit committed to ending litter and preserving the ocean, coastal habitat, and wildlife through advocacy, education, and community action. The PBC has been a steward of the coast since 1997 engaging thousands of volunteers each year. Our humble beginnings have grown from hosting one monthly beach cleanup to 14 monthly cleanup and habitat restoration events from Daly City to Half Moon Bay and in Foster City. We believe that every coastline is worth protecting, every piece of plastic removed from our streets and shore is a step toward a cleaner ocean, and every person who joins us is a beacon of hope for the future of our coastal communities. We also believe that every place deserves stewardship and that every volunteer who joins in habitat restoration connects deeply with the earth — and each other.
