About Pacific Centre Family Services Association
Pacific Centre Family Services Association (PCFSA) has been delivering high quality child, youth, adult, and family-based services since 1968. From our current community-based locations in Colwood, Langford, and Sooke on South Vancouver Island, we provide a range of services across the Capital Regional District. These include work with individuals addressing family violence, youth outreach and email counselling, youth gang and sexual exploitation prevention and intervention, family and couples counselling, supportive counselling to address substance use issues, mental health counselling, and trauma therapy. Since June 2022, PCFSA has also been operating a Community Health Centre (CHC), which provides team based primary health care for individuals, and their families, who have experienced barriers to accessing medical care. Many of the patients accessing care through the CHC have mental health and/or substance use disorders. PCFSA’s professionally trained staff include Registered Clinical Counsellors, Registered Social Workers, Youth and Family Counsellors, Community Health Workers, Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Family Physicians, and an Elder in Residence. As a registered non-profit society, PCFSA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of members of the community. In addition to our approximately 50 staff and 25 volunteers, we are a teaching facility with medical residents, nursing and social work students, and intern counsellors.
