About Pacific Coast Conservation Alliance (The PCCA)

Dedicated to the management and stewardship of wildlife preserves, conservation easements, and mitigation lands, The PCCA focuses on the development of preserve management strategies, design and implementation of scientific study-based adaptive management plans, development and application of standardized as well as innovative methods of long-term ecosystem monitoring, and general stewardship services for open space and biologically sensitive properties. The PCCA's current field focus is a 5-year study of the bats of the Central Coast of California ("Central Coast Bat Survey"), which focuses on: 1. Youth education about bats; 2. Habitat enhancement to create more bat-friendly environments; and 3. A survey of the occurring species of bats along the central coast, their distributions, and period of occurrence & activity; and 4. The interrelationships between vineyard agriculture and bat, bat foraging, and bat responses to enhancements. The PCCA also acts as a philanthropic entity by channeling donations into grant programs focused in three geographic areas: 1. The Imperial Valley of California 2. San Diego County 3.
