At Pacific Northwest Native Lacrosse (PNW Native Lax), we are dedicated to sharing the Creator’s Game with Native youth and communities throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Lacrosse, known as the Creator’s Game, is deeply rooted in Indigenous cultures and has long served as a tool for healing, connection, and community. Our mission is to reconnect Native youth with this sacred game, fostering opportunities for growth, cultural pride, and well-being. Through culturally informed programming, we aim to honor the origins of lacrosse while building pathways for future generations to thrive. What We Do: • Camps and Clinics: We partner with tribal communities to introduce lacrosse to Native youth, gifting sticks and removing barriers to ensure everyone has access to the game. • All-Native Travel Teams: We provide opportunities for Native athletes to compete at high levels, building confidence and creating representation on and off the field. • Advocacy and Education: We work to honor and highlight the Indigenous origins of lacrosse, advocating for its cultural significance and teaching its traditional values. We believe lacrosse is more than a sport—it’s a way to connect with our ancestors, strengthen our communities, and promote physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. By partnering with tribal nations, organizations, and allies, we aim to build bridges between the past and present, ensuring the Creator’s Game continues to inspire and empower future generations.
