About Pacific Performance Engineering
Founded in 1985, PPE (Pacific Performance Engineering) made engineering innovations the prime directive in pursuit of diesel performance. Our engineers took the Duramax platform and significantly improved horsepower and torque with the Duramaximizer, at a time when there were no consumer performance options available for the new common-rail electronic diesel engines. The product was tested in the towering dunes of Glamis, California. In an era when air and water-cooled sand rails were commonplace, a single cab Chevy long-bed truck fitted with paddle tires producing “rooster tails” in the hot desert sand dunes was a sight to behold. People gathered to see what they had never seen before. The diesel revolution had begun. PPE engineers continued to innovate, creating performance products to enhance and improve the Duramax diesel platform. Systematically finding and improving the “weak links” which would fail under the new horsepower and torque demands. Our engineers built on their successes by turning their sights on the Dodge and Ford diesel platforms. With each innovation they learned how to make clean, efficient power while improving fuel mileage and the driver’s experience. As we add new products to our line, we continued to improve and forge industry relationships that marked advancements in product design. PPE partnered with Garrett (Honeywell) and through that relationship, the PPE Turbo Pedestal and the vastly improved Manifolds, now part of the 50 State Legal, PPE Manifolds and Up-Pipes Kit. PPE’s distribution channels are wide, including partnerships with Summit Racing, Premier Performance, Meyer Distribution and many others across North America and Canada.
