About Pacific Pulmonary Services
History Pacific Pulmonary Services (PPS) was founded in 1978 in Bakersfield, California, as "Med-Mart", a full-service durable medical equipment (DME) company serving the Central Valley of California. In 1993, Braden Partners acquired Med-Mart. In 1996, the business was renamed Pacific Pulmonary Services and refocused to concentrate on home oxygen and respiratory medications equipment and services. This set the stage for the rapid growth of the company. In 2005, PPS expanded it's respiratory services to include sleep therapy equipment and services. Today, PPS employs over 800 associates. We serve communities from more than 100 local care centers across the United States. You'll find PPS in 19 states - California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Texas, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Indiana, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Utah, Idaho, New Jersey, and Kentucky. We are continuing to grow. Our physicians continue to send more of their patients to PPS because they know they can count on us to take great care of their patients. Values For over 30 years, our success has been guided by our six core values: •Put Others First •Teamwork •Integrity •Achievement •Accountability •Fun Patient Advocacy At Pacific Pulmonary Services, we are active advocates for our patients through the Council for Quality Respiratory Care, the American Association for Homecare, and other organizations. Every year PPS team members at every level contribute and write letters on behalf of the patients that we serve. Council for Quality Respiratory Care The Council for Quality Respiratory Care is an alliance of the nation's leading home oxygen therapy providers and manufacturers, representing nearly half of the more than 1.5 million Medicare beneficiaries who depend on the home oxygen benefit for independence and quality of life.
