About Packaging World

The origin of Packaging World was the kitchen table. On May 1st 1993 I started to work on my own. Within 9 months my first employee joined me and I had built a small office. Towards the end of 1997 I had taken over a small company, Southgate Packaging and there was now three of us. Barber Packaging of Bradford was included in1999 and by this time we were 5 in number. Following using rented space in Ripponden, Holme Iron Works, with its’ 15,000 sq. feet was purchased in March 2003, enabling further expansion possibilities. The most recent acquisition was J.Eastwood & Son in June 2004. 2007 saw the whole enterprise re-branded as Packaging World Ltd. with a staff totalling 14.Still a family business after 17years. Company Objectives We aim to provide a fast and efficient service at competitive prices to all levels of retail and industrial users. Our aim is to be as eco- friendly as is humanly possible within the packaging industry. Our own delivery fleet operate throughout Yorkshire and Lancashire and we are also able to provide overnight deliveries throughout the U.K.
