If you’re struggling with a mental health challenge, trying to manage stress, processing a life issue, or working on personal growth and wellness, collaborating with a counselor can help! I work with my clients to develop individualized treatment plans that build on their strengths and help them to achieve their goals in a safe and nonjudgmental environment. Depending on each client's unique needs (ranging from practical problem-solving to exploring the meaning and purpose of life), my approach incorporates elements of acceptance and commitment, cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavior, existential, narrative, and/or solution-focused therapies. I also encourage the practice of mindfulness and self-compassion. My clinical interests include the treatment of depression and anxiety and the prevention of suicide. (Please note that I do not prescribe or manage medications.) I also support my clients in strengthening their identities, developing resilience, and honoring their values. I am currently accepting clients 18 years of age and older for individual counseling and psychotherapy. Services are available online for Texas residents, and I offer each prospective client a free 15-minute phone consultation. In-network with Aetna, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, and Cigna.
