Penny Edman – I am a journalist… writer… editor… photographer… with more than 30 years of experience who can help you with anything from a media advisory or feature article to a book. I have an eye for layout and design, and an understanding of the production process, both in hard copy and online. I am based in beautiful Hobart where my office has an inspiring view of the majestic kunanyi / Mount Wellington. After beginning my journalistic career with the News-Mail, in Bundaberg, Queensland, I moved to Hobart in 1991 to establish the Archdiocese of Hobart Media Office where I worked until the end of 2004. As well as directing this office for many years, I also edited (meaning I was the editor, journalist, sub-editor, photographer, and layout and design person, as well as manager) the diocesan monthly newspaper, The Standard, for 10 years. My articles and photographs have been published throughout Australia and internationally. I have also written four books and been actively involved in the production and publication processes. I have managed and produced work for websites since the late 1990s.
