It was January of 2005 and sales is my forte so why not. I studied, became licesened and hit the pavement by April 2005. It was really hard to get started here. It seemed everywhere I turned another agent would win out on the listing or the buyer because they had to do business with 'kin'. It took me 6 months to get a listing but it only took me 21 days to sell it! That success was followed by months of being "Listing Agent of the Month' and for about a year business and life was good. Then! Round about fall of October 2007 the lives of me and all my new found peers changed. Changed bad. All of the sudden NOTHING was selling. Our listing clients, builders and sellers alike, began struggling. We marketed harder, worked longer hours, brainstormed as a group to help community sales, etc. and NOTHING was working. Our prices here in the beautiful North Georgia mountains fell hard and quick. By November 2008 I had earned my GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute accreditation) and my very own Broker license. Well what to do next? I had tried everything else in fighting to survive so why not buy a building downtown and hang a shingle? Well, that's where we are and I believe we have made it though the roughest. The bottom is here, in my opinion, and there is no where to go but UP! Sarah and I have been specializing in the Foreclosure market and it has served us well. In April 2009 we added Pam Gwynn, Realtor and she brings lots of kinetic energy to the table. In September 2009, whoa, we added the heavy hitting team of Big Fred Poteet and his Associate Broker wife and force behind 'the man'. So here we are.
