About Pak Supermarkets
From its humble beginnings, Pak Supermarket has grown to become one of the largest and most well-known ethnic supermarket brands in the United Kingdom. The story starts in 1979 when two business entrepreneurs and brothers, Mr Gulam Rasool and Mr Gulham Ghafoor saw the needs of the ethnic community were being unfulfilled. As migrants from Pakistan themselves, the two brothers knew exactly what the local ethnic community required and that is fresh produce, authentic and vast products and at reasonable prices. With the mission of serving the local community in mind, the first Pak Supermarket store opened its doors in 1979 in the deprived area of Lozells, Birmingham and the store soon bought a ray of hope and excitement into the region. Pak Supermarket soon became a well-established and renowned brand, showcasing its professionalism, authenticity and transparency for customers and suppliers alike. As the two brothers retired in 2000, the second generation of the family, namely the sons took over the running of the business and with their expertise and future vision, they bought a fresh and renewed sense of direction to the brand. Pak Supermarkets has been leading the way in the ethnic supermarket industry and with its vision of becoming the number online retailer in mind, Pak Supermarkets has now launched its ground-breaking online service.
