About Palm Strings

We are producers of premium, hand crafted jewellery operating from the sandy shores of Durban, South Africa. Our range of beach jewellery is made up of bracelets and necklaces comprising of freshwater pearls, mother of pearl, semi precious stone, sterling silver, shell, fimo, wood, resin, glass, ox bone, plastic and shark teeth. The idea of creating jewellery by hand using natural, ocean-inspired materials arose from an unexpected business venture on the shores of Sardinia, Italy in 2011. It occurred to us, that if this type of jewellery was so desired by beach destination tourists, surely it would attract the same in South Africa and it's surrounding areas . Though jewellery making began as an unlikely business prospect, it quickly grew into a unique and compelling passion for Palm Strings. Our vision is to continue creating products that are so unique and intricate that they will infiltrate international markets and influence consumers to wear more natural looking products.
