About Palmetto Canning Company
Based out of Palmetto, FL, P.C.C. began as a private tomato cannery funded by a personal loan by J.P. Morgan Jr. to his retiring yacht Captain John C. Greenlaw. Greenlaw found the tropics of Florida appealing and the need for tomato packing was strong. From 1927 to 1987 the focus gradually turned away from canning and towards bottling food items. Since then, under the leadership of John C. Greenlaw III, the company has expanded to two 60,000 sq.ft. food plants to cater to the demand of quality bottled sauces, cooking wines, energy drinks and other liquid food ingredients. Palmetto Canning is apart of the ISO-9000 Global Food Safety Initiative and subscribes to SQF Level 2 certification. From local food brands to national grocery conglomerates, P.C.C can help on all volumes.
