Established in 1968 by John Langman and his family, Palmstead Nurseries has been growing to meet the evolving needs of the horticultural industry for over five decades. From our 53-hectare site in Wye, Kent, we specialise in in-house propagation and young plant development—growing most of the plants we sell and building a strong reputation for provenance, quality, and biosecurity. Our experienced team closely monitors every stage of plant development, ensuring healthy, reliable stock that delivers on specification and on time. We’ve invested heavily in sustainable practices, from pioneering water harvesting systems, including three on-site reservoirs for irrigation self-sufficiency—to peat-free compost and recyclable pots. Our potting lines are powered in part by our on-site solar array, and we’ve partnered with Planet Mark to measure and actively reduce our carbon footprint each year. With live stock availability, online ordering, and transparent pricing for account holders, we make it easy for landscapers, designers, and contractors to access the quality they need, when they need it.
