About Pan Ocean Oil Corporation (Nigeria) Limited
Pan Ocean was until April 2019 operator of the OML 98 in Joint Venture Participation Agreement with NNPC. Awarded OPL 275 during the 2007 bid round completed exploration phase in March 2013, and is the first company to achieve OPL conversion to OML in the class of 2007 Bid Rounds as well as the first to fully explore and develop. The asset now OML 147 achieved hydrocarbon facility test run in January 2019. In a bid to meet Nigeria’s domestic gas supply obligation. Pan Ocean was the First Company to aggressively pursue the commercial road map leading to signing of first ever Gas Sale Aggregation Agreement (GSAA) with the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN), management of Egbin Power Plant on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria in June 2010 ahead of all of its contemporaries. In the same vein, Pan Ocean initiated the development of the Ovade-Ogharefe Gas Plant (OOGP) in 2006 with the objective to eliminate gas flaring by gathering & compressing associated gas from adjacent flow station into domestic gas pipelines. With the development of OOGP, Pan Ocean became the first company to achieve zero gas flare in Nigeria with the installation of its 130 mmscfd Ovade-Ogharefe Gas Plant in 2010 and gained full compliance with the Carbon Credit Scheme of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Changes (UNFCCC) on the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) with a CDM award of USD$5 million per annum. This makes the OOGP the biggest CDM project in West Africa. The Amukpe Escravos Pipeline (AEP) is another brainchild of Pan Ocean. It is an export pipeline with horizontal Directional Drilling technology (HDD) over 67km or about 150 feet deep in the ground, and an alternative to Trans Forcados pipeline. The AEP is guaranteed to provide an all year round transportation of 160,000 barrels per day of Nigerian crude through Escravos terminal when it comes into full operation. We are 100% Nigerian - from Executive Management to Field Operations.
