The Panoz Roadster was the first "it can't be done" accomplishment. The Panoz Roadster, introduced in 1990, was designed to capture the visceral essence of a pure roadster & embody it in a vehicle, bold & exciting, yet dependable & easy to maintain. In 1996, Panoz flexed its technology muscles again developing the aluminum intensive vehicle known as the AIV Roadster. With its extruded aluminum space frame, the Panoz AIV Roadster became the first-ever production vehicle to be constructed of 70% aluminum components. The design & manufacturing processes pioneered by Panoz created a vehicle that was not only lighter, but stronger as well. Next was the Panoz Esperante, a Grand Touring class vehicle that didn't merely incorporate previous innovations, but inspired the creation of new ones. Panoz was the 1st manufacturer to use SPF components in a production automotive application which was originally developed for aerospace applications. The Panoz GT LeMans made its entree into road racing in 1997-no better way to demonstrate the Panoz engineering & manufacturing expertise than to compete against the world's best! Panoz didn't go racing to challenge; it went to "WIN', against manufacturers -Porsche, Jaguar & Ferrari. In 2006, Panoz won the GT2 class at the 24 Hours of LeMans -testing & proving its technological expertise, racing provided an opportunity to develop & implement new engineering & manufacturing concepts. As a result, Panoz is now offering four technologically advanced vehicles which will set new standards for PERFORMANCE, EXCLUSIVITY, DEPENDABILITY & PURE ENJOYMENT.
