Papa Lamb was founded in 2024, but the idea, concept and recipes are over 35 years in the making! The founders, our Chief Eating Officer (CEO) and Curry Making Officer (CMO) have a collective 65 years of experience in curry making, eating and their accompaniments. The latter, having fettled, improved, and perfected his recipes over the last 35 years, having made his first curry at the age of just 7! To boot, our CEO has been eating curries for over 30 years! See, that’s more than a diamond jubilee’s worth of love and legendary curry commitment. The dream was always to demystify the world of curries and bring a simple, but delicious curry to the world. Herein, was born the ‘Durban Curry’ – from a city in Kwa-Zulu Natal to mouths, spoons and fingers of everyone, everywhere.
