Papanyana Holdings was established in May 1999 in a small village called Motlhlotlo located 25 km Northeast of the town of Mokopane, the same village was later relocated to Armoed by the mining giant, Anglo American Platinum to clear its way of extracting PGM’s. Our intention was to unleash the potentials of young men and women living in rural areas of which we are part. In all this time, Papanyana Holdings operated informally driven by the passion and love for Community Development, but later registered as a Papanyana Holdings (PTY) LTD. Papanyana Holdings (pty) LTD is a 100% Black Owned with 20% youth and 20% women owned. Since its establishment in 1999, has played a pivotal role in facilitating the development of youth around Waterberg District and in replicating quality youth programmes. PH’s primary target group was, out of school, Unemployed young women and men, Disabled and the Overall youth. Our experience has taught us that this group were more disadvantaged as a result of their socio-economic and educational background. As a result, they are more vulnerable to engage in crime, drug abuse and sexual activities. They have little to no opportunities for economic development either through formal employment, further education and training or self-employment
