About Papasay Value-Added Wood Products

Papasay Value-Added Wood Products (PVAWP) is a 100% Indigenous-owned sawmill located in Northwestern Ontario, operated by the Bingwi Neyaashi Anishinaabek (Sand Point First Nation). We specialize in rough-cut Cedar and SPF softwood lumber, supplying high-quality products to contractors, developers, and communities across Ontario. Our offerings include custom-cut lumber in various sizes (up to 6"x6", 16' long), suitable for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Rooted in a vision of sustainable economic development, PVAWP is creating employment opportunities for BNA members while supporting long-term regional growth. We are currently expanding into finished and custom products through the installation of a planer and moulder system, set to be operational by early 2026. We are proud contributors to major infrastructure projects, including the Waasigan Transmission Line and continue to work closely with builders and procurement teams committed to supporting Indigenous suppliers.
