My copy editing work began more than 20 years ago while I was working as a language teacher in universities in Northern Europe. Academics would approach me to edit their journal submissions and before long I had a growing client base along side my teaching load. Eventually, I decided to concentrate on copy editing, and I slowly reduced my teaching hours until, in 2012, I left teaching altogether. As my clients began to move around, taking up more senior posts in new universities and new countries, they took me with them and in this way my services have been seeded in university faculties initially across Europe but then also in Australia and North and South America. My experience has also grown with the development of my client base, and I now edit in a broad range of fields, including: arts and culture, economics and finance, sociology, political science, philosophy, history, energetics and engineering, management and human resources, education, and cultural and social geography and anthropology. I edit single articles with as few as 3,000 words but also entire publications of up to half a million words. I can even liaise with designers and publishers if you are looking to self-publish.
