We are a fearless collective of disabled and non-disabled musicians: a platform that pushes the boundaries of music-making to create art with passion and purpose. With a diverse ensemble led by the remarkable vision of our artistic director, Charles Hazlewood, our performances are a fusion of emotion, innovation, and intrepid artistry. With a commitment to inclusivity and career development we forge new pathways to creating a more equitable industry for all musicians. Via our artist development programme - Modulate - we focus on developing the professional careers of our musicians identifying as disabled. As ambitious and dynamic as our live work, Modulate is facilitating the growth of a new generation of confident and independent music creators, and future leaders in the sector. What we create is never just a performance. We are orchestrating the extraordinary. Paraorchestra is a registered charity number 1163725. We gratefully receive funding from Arts Council England, Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, The Mark Leonard Trust, The Linbury Trust, Garfield Weston and Foundation, and Bristol City Council.
