About Parent Carer Research Network

A platform to ensure parent carers' voices are heard and integrated into research outcomes. Researchers strive for community representation, yet parent carers are often too overwhelmed to participate, which leads to their voices being absent from research outcomes. But we're here to change that narrative! Our platform is still in its infancy but fueled by passion. We hope to build a network where both parent carers and researchers benefit from collaboration. The network will gather and organise research opportunities for parent carers and their families, both for studies relevant to themselves as parent carers and for their children and young people with SEND. Additionally, we aim to include 'mainstream' research opportunities to ensure that the voices of this population are heard across the board. The network will also assist researchers in reaching out to and recruiting participants from the parent carer community. #ParentCarerResearch #CommunityRepresentation
