Parenting Aging Parents exists to be a hub of information, resources and community for people who are caring for their aging parents, as well as those who want to be prepared. As part of their personal journey with their own parents, founders Kim & Mike Barnes realized there are a lot of resources and services out there to assist the child and parent, but as the adult child you don’t even know what’s available, what it’s called, or how to find it. As former longtime journalists, they conduct regular interviews with experts about all sorts of subjects to provide insight into what caregivers might need to know and what questions they need to ask. There is also an active and growing private Facebook group that provides a forum for asking questions, sharing experiences and finding support.
