About PARIS-B
**UPDATE** Galerie Paris-Beijing becomes PARIS-B. In recent years, our programmation has taken a significant turn ; from a space exclusively focused on contemporary photography, the gallery has now become multidisciplinary, representing a panel of artists from all walks of life, embracing all forms of creation and artistic expressions. These twelve years in Paris have inspired us to keep on making our marks on the Parisian, French and European artistic scene ; a turn we had already initiated in 2017 through the ‘PBproject’, a program dedicated to the young french scene, and through the representation of emerging french artists such as Léa Belooussovitch, Randa Maroufi, Justin Weiler and Marion Charlet. Though we do stay loyal to our original artists and our interest for the chinese scene does remain, it appears now necessary to adopt a name better aligned with our recent developments and our intentions for the coming years. ****** Founded in Beijing in 2006, in the now well-known 798 Art District, Galerie Paris-Beijing has expanded from 2009 by opening an exhibition space dedicated to Asian contemporary photography in Paris. Ardent promoter of photographic practice in Asia and supporting a whole generation of young artists who have become major figures on the international art scene, Galerie Paris – Beijing has established itself over the years as a reference in this field. The year 2014 marks a turning point in its artistic programming with the opening of a 400 m2 exhibition space. By allowing to host large-scale installations, sculpture and painting, the new space has fulfilled the gallery’s longstanding aspiration to embrace a multidisciplinary practice. Aware of evolving in a world of globalized art, the gallery remains keen to expand its international influence by developing a network of events, gallery partnerships and through its participation to international art fairs
