Established in Brisbane, Queensland in 2018, Park at Mine is an inventive, easy-to-use car park-sharing platform, which has been referred to as "an Airbnb for driveways". Park at Mine follows in the footsteps of other notable global digital disruptors, with a foundation in furthering the sharing economy by providing affordable parking in high-demand areas, such as near hospitals, universities, train stations, and central business districts. "Everybody benefits, that’s why we love it." Park at Mine founders Toni Smith and Katrina Kupke noticed that, just as people left home for work or study each day - leaving their driveway or car park vacant - other commuters were spending hundreds per week on pricey paid parking spaces. The simple solution was to connect these two groups of people for mutual benefit. Through the Park at Mine platform, car park owners can now register their space online, making it available for commuters to use at a fraction of the cost of a commercial parking garage, and without the hassle of time-restricted street parking. By registering, car park owners make money from their unused space while they're away for the day. The amount earned depends on the listing's location, availability, and number of spaces. With minimal effort, one or more car parks can be listed and managed by owners online - and whether they're making a large amount or a modest amount, it’s always more profitable than letting a space sit unused for free!
