About Park Slope Parents

Park Slope Parents (PSP) is a powerful, passionate, and caring community of 7,000+ member families living in Brooklyn, NY. Since 2002, PSP members have shared advice online and IRL on everything from child care to health care, summer camps to haircutters, and coping with teething, terrible twos, and the tween/teen years. PSP has a public website with 1,500+ pages of crowd-sourced information, including parenting advice and local business/service reviews. Our Members-Only Groups include PSP Advice, where parents ask any question—including anonymously—share information and advice, and discuss community issues; PSP Classifieds, a local buy/sell/trade group for kid gear and household items, finding nannies and listing real estate; and 100+ smaller groups, including: Expectant/Baby, Bilingual/Heritage, Dads, Working Moms, Knitting, Cooking, SAHPs, Green/Sustainability, Activists, and so many more. Live events include Clothing Swaps, Workshops, Festivals, Summer Fridays, and Concerts. PSP sponsors Community Events like Celebrate Brooklyn, Brooklyn Volunteer Fair, and Summer Movies in Prospect Park. We also partner with local nonprofits like Brooklyn Family Justice Center to provide donations and services to those in need. For those looking to network, PSP members can harness the power of their community for job resources and networking through our PSP Career Networking Group (2,000+ members) and career subgroups, which represent 25+ industries—from Finance, Fashion, and Real Estate to Marketing, Media, Tech, and beyond. PSP hosts monthly career-focused webinars, events, and networking meetups.
