About Parkland Community Planning Services
PCPS provides a variety of planning consultation services to municipalities and the private sector, specializing in municipal land use policy planning, site assessment and design and subdivision services. PCPS has extensive rural, urban and intermunicipal planning experience in Alberta. PCPS planners utilize customized, practical planning processes to effectively address the purposes and issues involved in each planning project. Our planners work closely with communities (Councils, municipal administrators, landowners and interest groups) to achieve land use plans and policies that are supported by stakeholders and implementable by municipalities. In recognizing the importance of both economic and environmental sustainability, our plans pursue a sensitive balance of land development and resource conservation. PCPS was established on April 1, 1995 as an Intermunicipal Services Agency under Section 625 of the Municipal Government Act to provide member municipalities, and other clients, with community planning advisory services. The 16 member municipalities include: Towns Bentley, Big Valley, Eckville, Innisfail, Olds, Penhold, Rocky Mountain House, Sylvan Lake Villages Alix, Clive, Delburne Summer Villages Birchcliff, Jarvis Bay, Norglenwold, Rochon Sands, Sunbreaker Cove
