About Parkridge Baptist Church

In 1992, Sheridan Hills Baptist Church felt the call to help start a new church in the Coral Springs and Parkland area. This church was created to serve the spiritual needs of Northwest Broward County. Eddie Bevill was selected to pastor this new church, which began meeting at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Coral Springs. The original name for this church was First Baptist Church of Parkland, but that had to change when God provided a location for a church building—land that bordered Parkland in Coral Springs. So, the church was renamed Parkridge Baptist Church and in 1996 construction began on the new home in Coral Springs. The Bible is God's perfect guidebook for living. God is bigger and better and closer than we can imagine. Mankind was created "specially" by God to have a relationship with Him. We have rebelled against Him breaking us from that relationship. Jesus Christ died and rose again for all to recieve forgiveness of their sins and be restored in a right relationship with God. Grace is the only way to have a relationship with God. Faith is the only way to grow in our relationship with God. Heaven and Hell are real places. Death is a beginning, not an end. The church is to serve people, like Jesus served people. Jesus is coming again.
