Parmenter Forge, founded and led by Master Blacksmith Ian Parmenter FWCB, is an award‑winning blacksmithing and metalwork studio based near Hook in rural Hampshire, specialising in bespoke commissions and immersive courses, blending traditional forging techniques with creative design. The Forge offers one‑day introductory workshops and advanced “Forging Forward” sessions, as well as themed poppy forging and corporate team‑building days. Ian, military‑trained at the Royal School of Military Engineering in 1986, went on to serve as a Fellow - and now Liveryman - of the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths, and was granted the Freedom of the City of London in 2017. Recognised with the Hampshire Business Award 2024 for Commitment to Education, Training and Skills, the company is known for its fun and supportive teaching environment and its dedication to preserving the craft.
