About Parole et Action

Founded in 1986 by Eris Labady, Parole et Action came to light to empower people living in rural areas in Haiti. Most of these rural regions are unreached by most NGOs, have no local government presence or facility and infrastructures. In some of these regions, children walk more than three hours a day before reaching a school or hospital or church. Indeed, thousands of children and millions of communities members lack access to education, food, water, and relevant infrastructures. Devastated by seeing people living in such horrific condition, Pastor Eris then came with that vision and found Parole et Action to impact these people. More than 30 years after, our mission and vision remain the same. We go to vulnerable communities to invest and impact people. Now, we are working with 37 communities in the South, West, Center, and Artibonites departments to educate young leaders for community development. We have been able to support 37 schools and impact more than 10 000 children annually with quality education, health assistance, food and clean water. We also run programs like Child Advocacy & Policy Influencing, Livelihood, Health, Sponsorship, and Emergency Relief. We are changing lives through relevant assistance to the most needed.
