About Parsons Power Park

For large power users, in the heart of the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, with the Parsons Power Park solar PV project, we are planning to build a high-performing and strategic utility scale solar PV power plant that will offer competitively priced electricity to local businesses and industries. The first 25MW phase of the 150MW project, is expected to commence construction in the Parsons Vlei district by the end of 2024. Embedded in the municipal network, and for supply to municipal customers, once completed the Parsons Power Park will be the largest home-grown independent power producer generation facility in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro. The Parsons Power Park project is fully aligned with the Municipality’s Electricity and Energy Directorate’s mandate to provide a safe, reliable, environmentally friendly, sustainable, and cost-effective electricity supply to the residents of the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro.
