The story of Paška sirana is a story about generations of island families who have breathed together salty island air, who have dispaired over their flock during cold winters and hot summers, a story about hundreds of hardworking hands who gave cheese. The thing that unites them for 70 years is care of Paška sirana, which emerged the idea of fellowship and solidarity. The vision of founders managed to brand PAŠKI SIR cheese even during hard times and enabled hundreds of families to survive on this harsh island rock where only few herbs grow. The driving force of Paška sirana is manifested in every pore of island's life. She is a strong pilar of Pag's economy, a part of Pag's identity. It was founded as a small agricultural community that united people from the island who were producing cheese. Throughout its history, Paška sirana has undergone from various operational and functional models; socialization, war, privatization till 1992. when it becomes joint-stock company. From little agricultural community today Paška sirana is modern company that exports in EU and U.S.A. Paška sirana is situated in the town of Pag, on the island of Pag. It is operating in the category of milk industry, specialized for production of cheese and lamb meat. It has long history and tradition. In 2008. Paška sirana opened new factory with brand new, modern equipment for milk and cheese production. Today Paška sirana employes 83 workers and cooperates with 200 cooperants from which buys milk for its cheeses. Produces 10 various cheese brands from sheep's and cow's milk. Paška sirana also produces sheep's meat and famous lamb from Pag.
