Paterson & Cooke is a global mining consulting firm renowned and trusted for its expertise in a wide range of areas that include tailings and mine waste handling, long distance concentrate and bulk water supply pipelines, mine backfill process plants and underground distribution systems, marine dredging, and mineral processing. Our experience runs from concept development to the detailed engineering, on-site support and the execution of multi-disciplinary projects. With nine offices across five continents, our global team continues to expand and grow. We currently have offices in Australia, Canada, Chile, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the USA. We have designed, engineered, and commissioned some of the world’s largest and most complex slurry pipeline systems that include conventional, thickened, and paste pipeline systems and long-distance concentrate slurry pipeline systems. Our experience in Mine Waste Technology includes tailings dewatering, transportation, deposition, comingling, and reprocessing flowsheet development. Our backfill expertise includes hydraulic and paste backfill material selection and strength testing, detailed design and engineering of backfill preparation plants and distribution piping systems and backfill management systems. Since 1995 we have been sharing our knowledge and expertise with our clients by hosting annual training courses that provide participants with a sound theoretical and practical understanding of slurry pipeline systems, paste and thickened tailings and the design and operation of mine backfill systems.
