About Path From Poverty
Path From Poverty transforms lives and communities by partnering with women’s groups to empower and equip women to break the cycle of poverty. Path From Poverty’s sustainable model combines the power of women working together, micro-enterprise and group savings, and a path to accessing clean water and solar power. Clean, Safe Water Since the year 2000, Path From Poverty has helped install over 2,500 rainwater catchment tanks to rural Kenyan homes. Solar Power Path From Poverty has helped install about 200 solar panels, providing light for girls to study and for women to work in the evening. Outdoor lights provide security for homes in rural areas. Education Hundreds of children have been given the opportunity for education because of larger family incomes created by access to clean, safe water. Path From Poverty sponsors the secondary school education of two orphan girls.
