In 2011, at a Starbucks around the corner from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, the idea for PatiëntPlus was born. Michiel and Teun were conducting PhD research on appropriate care. Their insight: when patients receive clear information and tools to help them take part in decision-making, everything changes.
