PAWCERT is the Professional Animal Worker (PAW) Certification Training & Accreditation Program. This training will provide a comprehensive overview of basic pet care guidelines and is intended for dog boarding and pet care professionals (i.e. Pet Sitters), as well as for the conscientious pet owner. This training is designed as a self-paced online course and can be completed over time. At the end of the training is a multiple choice assessment designed to verify a satisfactory understanding of the material. Any score of 80% or better is considered a passing score. Once the assessment is passed, the user will receive a certification package via email. The certification package will include a certificate of completion, a unique member ID which can be used for future discounts and rewards, and a listing in the PAWCERT Member Directory with a link to a Pet Sitting profile of your choosing (i.e. Rover.com, etc.) This listing can be served to advertise your pet care endeavors as a Professional Animal Worker and will also be used to verify that you have completed the certification training. Make sure to update your Pet Sitting profile to include your PAW certification status as well. This training is not intended to certify the recipient as an animal health or obedience professional in any way. The Professional Animal Worker designation is not intended to bypass any important Veterinary and Animal Training services. In fact, these basic pet care guidelines will better prepare the Professional Animal Worker to prioritize proper Veterinary and other professional care providers as needed.
