For example when Richard teaches your dog the sit-stay command he will pair that command with the sound of your doorbell so your dog will automatically sit and stay allowing you to answer the door. Your dog will not run out of the house or jump on your guest since your dog is in the sit-stay command and will not move until you release your dog.
