Pharmaceutical Blow Moulding Specialists ( P.B.M.S) was founded and registered in November 1996 by Richard McEvoy after discussions with a small cosmetic company who were looking for a range of plastic containers to pack their products in.The company identified a niche and realized that there was a lot of potential to look after smaller companies with regard to their plastic packaging requirements. Richard is a qualified pharmacist with a degree in pharmacy from the University of the Witwatersrand and has practiced over the last 24 years in a number of areas in the pharmaceutical market. These include retail pharmacy, wholesale and distribution,marketing and manufacturing. This background has allowed PBMS to focus strongly in the packaging requirements for the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmetic, chemical and hospitality market place. The company focuses strongly on the manufacture of blow moulded and injection moulded products,the emphasis is on producing high quality products that are expected in the market place where PBMS operates. PBMS has been successful in supplying a range of products to some of South Africa’s leading pharmaceutical manufacturers including Adcock Ingram, Alliance-Thebemed and Enaleni to name a few. One of the strong points of the company is that it focuses on the smaller customer as well and is able to assist these customers with advise and quantities that are manageable and fit into their budget requirements. PBMS prides itself on the fact that it can supply it’s products to customers at relatively short notice and competes favourably with major plastic container manufactures on a pricing basis. The customer also deals directly with the owner of PBMS to ensure that the communication pathway is clear and unambiguous.
