About Peace International Foundation

Peace International Foundation (PIF), a Hong Kong-based non-profit organisation, actively advances United Nations' peace initiatives through youth-centred education and empowerment. PIF adopts a non-sectarian, non-political stance and advocates the understanding of peace and related issues, with a focus on freeing humanity from suffering, violence, discrimination and poverty. PIF is recognised by the United Nations for promoting global peace. We are a member of the United Nations International Day of Peace NGO Committee, which works closely with the United Nations Department of Public Information, to promote Peace Day observances around the world. Divisions: - The Peace Club (TPC) Hong Kong’s first private club for professionals focuses on the development of Student Peace Clubs (SPC), supporting peace education and peace-related activities in academic institutions in Hong Kong. - Peace International Centre (PIC) The centre develops peace education programmes for Student Peace Clubs (SPC), the Peace International Youth Orchestra (PIYO) and Peace International Youth Choir (PIYC). - Student Peace Clubs (SPC) The clubs are self-governed organisations for students aged 6 to 22 from academic institutions in Hong Kong to provide them with a platform to engage in dialogue about and actively advance peace. - Peace International Youth Orchestra (PIYO) The orchestra, consisting of young musicians from schools across Hong Kong, performs at PIF events throughout the year and participates in overseas summer and winter tours. - Peace International Youth Choir (PIYC) The choir, with members chosen from schools in Hong Kong, participates in local peace events as well as overseas summer and winter tours. www.facebook.com/peaceinternationalfoundation.hk www.twitter.com/peaceintlfdn www.instagram.com/peaceinternationalfoundation www.justgiving.com/peace-internationalfoundation/
