In 2021 Renee Virlee created Pearson & Virlee, PC, taking over ownership from the preceding company Pearson & Associates, PC (formed by Tracy Pearson in 2005). From the start until today we have focused on the client and a quality product. You won't spend time training a different accountant about your circumstances or business climate at each appointment and phone call since we know you. We have locations in Cedar Rapids as well as Mount Vernon for your convenience. Our clients come back to us year after year because they know that they are in good hands. Virlee, CPA graduated with a B.S. degree in accounting from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Iowa. She joined the predecessor firm, Pearson & Associates, in 2016 and took over as owner of Pearson & Virlee, PC in 2021. She has more than 10 years of experience in public accounting. Renee specializes in corporate, partnership, and personal tax return preparation and planning, financial statement preparation, bookkeeping, and small business consulting. She also provides accounting software setup & QuickBooks support. Tracy Pearson, CPA graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a B.A. degree in accounting. She founded the firm in 2005 after working at local CPA firms. Tracy’s expertise includes small business consulting, assisting with business start-ups, financial statement preparation, nonprofit organizations, and payroll services. She is a QuickBooks Pro Advisor. Tracy specializes in tax planning and compliance, IRS problem resolution, planning and preparation for businesses, estates, trusts, and individuals.
