About Pediatric Occupational Therapy Services (POTS)
Founded by Dr. Chaye Lamm Warburg in 1991. POTS is the premier comprehensive pediatric therapy practice in Bergen County, providing cutting-edge Occupational, Speech, Physical, Feeding, MEDEK, and Aquatic Therapy to infants, children, teens, young adults, and their families since 1991. Dedicated to treating the whole child, we collaborate with families, teachers, and other players in a child's life to maximize each child's potential in our sensory gyms. The patient journey starts with a phone consultation and progresses to an evaluation or screening, individual therapy, discharge with recommendations, and post-discharge follow-up to make sure that the child is functioning optimally at home, school, and in the community. Our goal is to prepare children for the variety of roles they must assume so that among other functional tasks they can: -Achieve developmental milestones such as rolling over, sitting, cruising, and walking -Regulate their behavior -Achieve independence in Activities of Daily Living -Play on par with peers -Develop Fine Motor skills such as stringing beads, doing puzzles, and handwriting -Develop Gross Motor Skills for playground and peer play -Participate in circle time -Play sports -Communicate with friends and family -Make their needs known -Develop executive function -Develop written communication that is neat, legible, and efficient We provide evaluations and screenings, individual therapy, skill-based programs, summer camp programs, workshops for parents and teachers, free daycare and preschool screenings, and in-school fine motor groups.
