Considered by many practitioners as the #1 Nursing Home Shoe in America, the Pedors Classic has helped residents who struggle to find comfortable shoes get back up on their feet and active again. In April of 1997 Pedors launched the Pedors Classic, a shoe that revolutionized the orthopedic shoe world. Central to the design was the use in the forefoot of the shoe of a proprietary material called Pedoprene which stretches and molds to the foot to accommodate common foot problems like bunions, hammertoes, corns, calluses, swollen feet and other forefoot deformities. The orthopedic design provides plenty of room in the toe box, and easy easy to put on and take off with an easily adjustable velcro strap The Classic is often described by caregivers in nursing homes, PT's and OT's as the "go to shoe" when looking for a footwear solution for patients with mobility limitations. The company offers a discounted program for patients with disabilities or residents on fixed income that reduces the retail cost by 20% and also includes the cost of outbound shipping and covers the cost of returns and exchanges.
